Revlon Lilac Pastelle with L’oreal Satin Sheets layered on top. I like the pale color with the satin finish - it’s like spring with a little ice frosted on top. Perfect for this time of year where it’s still winter yet you are itching for spring to come. :-) - Joanna
White Russian Hand Treatment
On The Doctors they suggested this hand treatment for winter manicures. Definitely want to try this at home! I have all the ingredients now except for the lemons (you thought I’d say Vodka, right. haha - we always have that on hand!) - Joanna
WTFIUWMNP?

WTF is up with my nail polish? Last night I painted my nails with Wet N’Wild. Cheapo stuff, I know. I used Sally Hansen’s Double Duty base and top coat, two layers of polish. Let dry about an hour while watching DVR’d shows. Photo taken just after painting my nails, so still a little wet.
This morning I woke up to this:

Bubbles all over my nails! What the heck is that? - Joanna
Color Fever - Vintage Gray
We both ended up painting our nails this color, but despite spending forever in the aisle at Rite Aid, this one is still a bit too dark to use for the newspaper idea. I guess we will have to go back again to try that idea. - Meg
Before painting our nails, Meg and I decided to try removing our cuticles, as demonstrated in this informative video by the Fingernail Fixer. We applied Sally Hansen’s Instant Cuticle Remover gel to our entire nail bed. We left it on for 30 seconds. Then we used a cuticle pusher to push back the cuticle from our nails.
The results were pretty dramatic. Although we’ve had salon manicures before, we have never had our cuticles properly removed as described in the video. We rinsed our hands and applied Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream to soften the skin around the nails. We will definitely be adding this technique to our at home manicures from now on. - Joanna
