Plain Jane interview nail polish again. I have been looking for a new job for a little over six months now. It’s been a rough ride, with lots of interviews and no offers. But I keep plugging away, and cheap, at-home manicures are my little indulgence that make me feel like I haven’t completely given up on myself yet ;-) - Joanna
p.s. I hate that you can still see a bit of green polish from my previous mani. I tried to get it all off but it stained my cuticles and nails a bit.
p.p.s I think my rings look good in this picture!
Revlon Lilac Pastelle with L’oreal Satin Sheets layered on top. I like the pale color with the satin finish - it’s like spring with a little ice frosted on top. Perfect for this time of year where it’s still winter yet you are itching for spring to come. :-) - Joanna
Wet n’ Wild
Update: I threw out that crappy red Wet n’ Wild polish! I need some serious sorting through of my polishes. Suggestions for how to best organize nail polish collections welcome :0)

Got sick of looking at my crappy nails and had to put some polish on. Brunello Grape by Borghese. - Joanna (Taken with instagram)
White Russian Hand Treatment
On The Doctors they suggested this hand treatment for winter manicures. Definitely want to try this at home! I have all the ingredients now except for the lemons (you thought I’d say Vodka, right. haha - we always have that on hand!) - Joanna
This is an updated photo of my nails. They are super brittle and weak. They have been peeling a lot and are very dry. I have taken a break from polishing them for a few weeks to hopefully help make them stronger. - Joanna
Just as Meg posted earlier today, my nails are also falling apart. One month into our great nail improvement project, and both of our nails seem to have become more weak and brittle. This is a picture of my middle nail, that broke so low that it feels incredibly weird to even type on the keyboard right now. I hate touching anything with a nail that has broken so low. It’s not so low as to hurt, but just gives me a creepy chill every time I touch it. blech. - Joanna
